Due to its privileged geographical location, the Terminal de Contanedores de Mariel SA, constitutes a logistically viable port facility as a transshipment point for maritime traffic in our Caribbean context, linking to different areas, connecting the North – South and East – West routes, in the region. Similarly, it is advantageously positioned for trade with the Gulf ports and the east coast of the United States, and as a competitive logistics distribution center.

It is located at coordinates 22 ° 59’37 ”North and 82 ° 45’14” West, just 26 nautical miles (45 kilometers) from Havana, in the core of the Mariel Special Development Zone (ZEDM), covering a total land area of ​​465 km2.

The Container Terminal – also known as TC Mariel – was inaugurated on January 27, 2014, as a preamble to the celebration in Havana of the II Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States.

It promotes a sustainable economic benefit and gradually elevates its pace of work, being considered a promising project, based on superior results that, in turn, are proposed goals for the immediate future.
